Dr. J. Selano, DC, CME
Dr. Selano is a licensed chiropractor in both Colorado and Georgia. He graduated with honors in 1993 from Life University in Marietta, GA where he practiced for 25 years. Dr. Selano is also a certified medical examiner on the DOT registry where he can perform CDL physicals and drug testing. In his spare time he enjoys spending time fishing, woodworking and singing with his Barbershop quartet Storm Front.
Dr. Selano has been married for 32 years to his wife Mary and has three children: Julian, 25 who just received his Masters in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Georgia, Camille, 23 who is starting her Masters in Animal Science at CSU this fall after completing her bachelor’s degree at UGA and Annabelle who is in 10th grade at Grandview HS in Aurora. She loves their performing arts department and loves to dance. Having moved to Colorado in the fall of 2017 Dr. Selano and his family are enjoying their new home in the rocky Mountains.
Dr. Ruth Vanderkooi
Dr. Ruth Vanderkooi has been Board Certified in Family Medicine for over 30 years, after receiving a Medical Doctorate from the University of Iowa, and completing a Family Medicine Residency program at the University of Michigan. This gave her a broad background in the complexities of medical care.
She is available to offer personalized consulting for her patients, incorporating a functional medicine approach to optimizing health. This includes considering an individual’s unique genetics, nutrition, and food sensitivities.
She has special insight regarding hypothyroidism, having had personal experience with the limitations of the current standards of medical care.
She lives in Denver and her hobbies include book clubs, yoga, hiking, gardening, and cooking. She is fortunate to have her two grown children live nearby.
Kelly Jost, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
She graduated with her Master of Science (MSN) degree from University of Colorado- Colorado Springs and her undergraduate at Denver College of Nursing. She is an active member of the Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses (SIG 30). Kelly is a Colorado native, and knows the community very well. In her free time, she enjoys music, traveling, and relaxing with her significant other and golden retriever, Riley.
